Nepal is one of Asia's finest mountain biking destinations – a country where dramatic altitude changes, diverse terrain and extraordinary cultural landscapes combine to create cycling experiences unavailable anywhere else in the region. The route options range from half-day technical trail rides around the Kathmandu Valley to week-long remote touring expeditions on the Annapurna Circuit and the spectacular Jomsom–Pokhara descent through the world's deepest gorge.
Nepal offers mountain biking for all levels: beginner-friendly cultural rides on the Kathmandu Valley heritage trail circuit, intermediate multi-day tours on the Annapurna lower circuit and Pokhara foothills, advanced technical singletrack through Shivapuri National Park and the Champa Devi ridge, and expert-level expeditions on the remote gravel roads of Upper Mustang and the cross-country routes connecting different hill station destinations. Our programmes include quality bikes (hardtail and full-suspension options available), helmets, basic safety equipment, experienced local cycling guides and a support vehicle carrying luggage and emergency supplies on multi-day tours. Best season: October–November and March–May. See Getaway Nepal's complete mountain biking guide for detailed trail descriptions.
