Nepal Tour with Teaching Project

Our Nepal Tour with Teaching Project combines standard Nepal sightseeing with a short-term structured teaching contribution at a community school. Unlike standard volunteer teaching programmes requiring weeks of commitment, our teaching project tours are designed around realistic holiday timeframes: 3–5 days of teaching contribution within a broader 10–14 day Nepal tour programme.

The teaching contribution is structured to be genuinely useful rather than tokenistic. English language conversation practice, science demonstrations, art and craft workshops and English-language storytelling are the most consistently valuable contributions that visitors with no Nepali language can make in a short timeframe. We match the contribution type to the visitor's skills and the school's specific needs. All teaching project visits are arranged with full cooperation and advance notice from school management; teachers remain present throughout and the contribution is designed to support rather than displace regular classroom activity. Travellers without teaching experience are welcome; enthusiasm, patience and basic educational materials are the primary requirements.
