Hunting in Nepal

Hunting in Nepal

Nepal permits licensed hunting of specific wildlife species in designated hunting reserves with government permits and strict quota management. The Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve in western Nepal is Nepal's only gazetted hunting reserve – a 1,325km² protected area in the Myagdi and Baglung districts where licensed hunting of Blue Sheep (bharal), Himalayan Tahr and other approved species is permitted under Nepal's wildlife laws.

All hunting in Nepal requires prior approval from the Government of Nepal's Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation, a licensed hunting operator and payment of government-set fees. We are a licensed Nepal hunting operator with experience arranging legal hunting programmes in Dhorpatan. Our Nepal hunting packages include government permit processing, licensed local hunting guide, all camp and logistics equipment, transportation and accommodation before and after the hunt. Hunters must hold valid hunting permits from their home country and comply with international wildlife trade regulations (CITES) for trophy export. Contact us for current quota availability, permitted species, applicable fees and the full permit application process.
