Nepal offers some of the most authentic and rewarding volunteer travel opportunities in Asia – community school support, conservation work in national parks, women's empowerment programmes and post-earthquake reconstruction assistance all provide meaningful contribution possibilities for travellers who want their Nepal visit to make a practical difference beyond the economic contribution of tourism spending.
Our volunteering and travel programmes are designed around realistic timescales and honest contribution expectations. Short-term volunteer placements (1–3 weeks) in community schools focus on English language activities, science demonstrations and art workshops that provide genuine value without requiring Nepali language or specialist teaching qualifications. Conservation volunteer programmes in Chitwan and Bardia buffer zones support wildlife monitoring and habitat restoration. All our volunteer placements are arranged with established local organisations with proven track records – we never create our own volunteer programmes but connect travellers with organisations that manage volunteers professionally and ensure contributions are genuinely useful. The travel component covers Nepal's major attractions around the volunteer placement, creating a programme that is both meaningful and experiential.
