Jomsom Muktinath Trek – 12 Days

The Jomsom Muktinath Trek follows the historic trading route through the Kali Gandaki gorge – the world's deepest valley – north from Pokhara to the sacred pilgrimage destination of Muktinath temple (3,800m). The route passes through Marpha's famous apple orchards, the wind-blasted Thakali trading villages of Tukuche and Kagbeni, and the spectacular desert landscape of the Mustang rain shadow before arriving at Muktinath – one of the most important pilgrimage sites in both Hinduism and Buddhism.

The 12-day programme starts from Nayapul and follows the classic Annapurna foothills trail through the Modi and Kali Gandaki valleys, gradually ascending into the drier, windier landscape of upper Mustang country. The return is by domestic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara (20 minutes) rather than retracing the full trail. See Getaway Nepal's Jomsom Muktinath Trek for complete route details. Includes: guide, porter, all meals, teahouse accommodation, ACAP permit, TIMS card, domestic flight Jomsom–Pokhara. Best season: October–November and March–May.
