The Pokhara zip line is the world's steepest, longest and highest zip line experience – a 1.8km descent at up to 120mph from a hilltop above Pokhara to the valley floor, with the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges visible throughout the 90-second flight. Unlike a bungee jump, the zip line provides sustained time in the air with consistent mountain views rather than a momentary freefall shock – combining the physical thrill of speed with one of the world's finest mountain panoramas.
Zip flying operates from a launch platform above Pokhara with views of Phewa Lake, the city and the full Annapurna range before the descent. The cable runs at a gradient of approximately 60–70 degrees at the steepest section. Participants are attached in a Superman-style prone harness for the full duration of the flight. The landing platform is at valley level with transfer back to Pokhara by vehicle. Combined adventure packages combining zip flying with paragliding, bungee and canyoning are available for those wanting a full Pokhara adventure day. Book through our Nepal day trips programme.
