Our Nepal Student Expedition is designed for young travellers ready to be genuinely challenged – physically, emotionally and culturally – in one of the world's most extraordinary mountain environments. The expedition format goes beyond standard student tours to create experiences of genuine difficulty and genuine achievement: multi-day Himalayan trekking, high-altitude camping, cultural immersion in communities without tourist infrastructure and team problem-solving in real-world challenging conditions.
The standard expedition (14 days) includes: Kathmandu orientation and team briefing (2 days), a 7-day guided Himalayan trek in the Annapurna or Langtang region reaching 3,500–4,000m altitude with teahouse or camping accommodation, a school or community project contribution day (2 days), Chitwan National Park wildlife safari with ecology focus (2 days) and debrief session. The expedition programme builds from accessible to demanding – no single element is beyond a normally fit 16-year-old, but the cumulative challenge of sustained trekking, cultural unfamiliarity and team leadership demands produce meaningful personal development outcomes. Suitable for students aged 16+. Group size 12–30 students.
