Jomsom Muktinath Short Trek – 5 Days

Our 5-day Jomsom Muktinath short trek flies to Jomsom and walks to the sacred Muktinath temple (3,800m) through the dramatic Kali Gandaki landscape – one of Nepal's most rewarding short treks for the combination of mountain scenery, sacred pilgrimage destination and the extraordinary cultural landscape of the Mustang rain shadow. The programme is far more efficient than the full 12-day Jomsom Muktinath trek while delivering all the key experiences.

Day 1: Fly Pokhara–Jomsom (20 minutes). Walk to Marpha – the finest traditional village in the Kali Gandaki, famous for its apple orchards and distillery (2 hours). Overnight Marpha. Day 2: Walk Marpha–Muktinath via Kagbeni (5–6 hours). Kagbeni is the gateway to Upper Mustang. Overnight Muktinath village. Day 3: Morning at Muktinath temple complex – the eternal flame, sacred spring and temple circuits of one of Nepal's most sacred sites. Afternoon descent toward Jomsom. Day 4: Descend to Jomsom. Kali Gandaki gorge scenery throughout. Day 5: Fly Jomsom–Pokhara. Guide, porter, all meals, teahouse accommodation, ACAP permit and domestic flight Jomsom–Pokhara included.

Day to Day Itinerary

DAY 01:
Breakfast in the hotel in Pokhara.

Meet our guide and porter in the hotel and drive to Pokhara airport. Fly to Jomsom and start trek.

Trekking day 01, Trek to Kagbeni Village. We walk about 4 hours today.

Overnight in Tea House.

DAY 02:
Breakfast in the tea house.

Trekking day 02, Trek to Muktinath. We walk about 4 hours today.

Overnight in Tea House.

DAY 03:
Breakfast in the tea house.

Trekking day 03, Trek back to Jomsom. We walk about 4 hours today.

Overnight in Tea House.

DAY 04:
Breakfast in the tea house.

Trekking day 04, Trek to Marpha village and return to Jomsom. We walk about 4 hours today.

Overnight in Tea House.

DAY 05:
Breakfast in the tea house.

Fly back to Pokhara.

Transfer you to your hotel.

End of the Package.
