The Chisapani–Nagarkot short hike takes you through Shivapuri National Park's dense forest to the finest Himalayan viewpoints accessible from Kathmandu on a short overnight trek. The route enters the national park at Sundarijal and climbs through subtropical and temperate forest to the Chisapani ridge (2,175m) – the highest point on the main hiking circuit above Kathmandu – with sweeping mountain views including the full Langtang range, Gauri Shankar and, on clear days, glimpses of the distant Himalayan chain from Annapurna to Everest.
Day 1: Vehicle from Kathmandu to Sundarijal. Enter Shivapuri National Park and hike 4–5 hours through beautiful forest to Chisapani. Overnight at a simple teahouse with mountain terrace views. Day 2: Morning mountain panorama from Chisapani. Hike to Nagarkot (3–4 hours) along the ridge through pine forest with consistent Himalayan views. Overnight at Nagarkot. Day 3: Predawn Nagarkot sunrise panorama – the full Himalayan chain from Annapurna to Kanchenjunga. Vehicle return to Kathmandu. Guide, porter, all meals and teahouse accommodation included; Shivapuri National Park permit included.

Arrive in Dhulikhel and drive to Kathmandu. It is about an hour drive.
