Langtang Short Trek – 5 Days

Our 5-day Langtang short trek reaches the heart of the Langtang Valley – Kyanjin Gompa (3,830m) beneath the Langtang Lirung glacier – in the most time-efficient format available. The approach road to Syabrubesi (2–3 hours from Kathmandu by road) makes this the most logistically accessible of Nepal's major trekking valleys, and the 5-day format with proper acclimatisation built in makes it ideal for first-time trekkers, those with limited time or anyone who wants a genuine Himalayan experience without the 2-week commitment of a longer circuit.

Day 1: Drive Kathmandu–Syabrubesi (3 hours). Hike to Lama Hotel (3–4 hours) through subtropical forest along the Langtang Khola gorge. Day 2: Hike Lama Hotel–Langtang Village–Kyanjin Gompa (5–6 hours). Arrive in the beautiful open valley beneath Langtang Lirung. Day 3: Acclimatisation hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) for the finest panoramic view in the Langtang region. Optional yak cheese dairy visit. Day 4: Descend to Lama Hotel (4–5 hours). Day 5: Descend to Syabrubesi, drive back to Kathmandu. Guide, porter, all meals, teahouse accommodation, Langtang National Park permit and TIMS card included. Best season: October–November and March–May.

DAY 01:
Breakfast in the hotel.

Drive to Syabrubensi and start trek.

Trekking day 01. We walk about 5 hours today.

Overnight in Tea House.

DAY 02:
Breakfast in the tea house.

Trekking day 02. We walk about 4 hours today.

Overnight in Tea House.

DAY 03:
Breakfast in the tea house.

Trekking day 03. We walk about 4 hours today.

Overnight in Tea House.

DAY 04:
Breakfast in the tea house.

Trekking day 04. We walk about 4 hours today.

Overnight in Tea House.

DAY 05:
Breakfast in the tea house.

Trekking day 05. We walk about 2 hours today.

Take 6 hours drive back to Kathmandu.

Transfer you to your hotel.

End of the Package.

Air travel to and from Nepal.
Purchases of bottled water while on the trek, gifts or alcohol.
Entry visas for Nepal (suggest getting 30 day tourist visa for Nepal on arrival into KTM).
Personal clothing and equipment.
Personal expenses whilst trekking such as laundry, showers, internet use.
All expenses incurred in the event of early departure (transport, extra hotel nights, etc).
Personal travel / trip cancellation insurance.
Excess baggage charges (if you have more than 20 kg luggage, cargo charge is around $1.5 per kg).
